At MP Nexlevel, LLC we automatically accept a moral obligation to our fellow employees and an economic obligation to our customer's and company to see that operations under our control are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. Along with other responsibilities, safety must always exist in our thinking and planning. Because of this, we must not only prevent obvious unsafe acts on the part of those we work with, but we must also anticipate potential hazards. Most important, each employee is encouraged to demonstrate leadership ability by setting a good example.
Our safety program has been developed to assure compliance with federal, state and local regulations with particular emphasis on the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. OSHA requirements that apply directly to our construction operations have received special attention. It is very important that all aspects of our safety program are followed.
The management of this company recognizes that safety is an essential ingredient in our business for humanitarian, economic, and legal reasons.
Management has dedicated itself to providing the active leadership and support necessary to develop and maintain a successful safety program with these objectives:
- Provide a safe and healthful work environment for all employees.
- Insure the security, protection and well being of the personnel, property, and vehicles of our company.
- Minimize the risk of human and economic losses resulting from unnecessary personal injury and property damage.
- Protect the public and maintain their trust.
- Secure the confidence of our customers while protecting their assets and reputations.
- Comply, to the best of our ability, with all existing safety, health, transportation, and environmental laws that apply to the workplace.
The success of the Safety Program requires the full, earnest cooperation of each employee. Safety must be considered a vital part of every job at MP Nexlevel.
Our safety program will include the following:
- A job hazard analysis program to identify and eliminate/control unsafe working procedures or practices.
- A self-inspection program administered by the Safety Committee to identify and correct hazardous conditions.
- Training guidelines for all employees.
- Providing necessary personnel protective equipment and instructions in proper care and use.
- Develop and enforce work safety rules. Require employees' cooperation with those rules as a condition of employment.
- Prompt and thorough reporting and investigation of every accident.
- A System of recognition and awards for exceptional safety performance.
- Annual review and modification if appropriate.
The success of the safety program requires the full and earnest cooperation of everyone in the company. Management, Superintendents, Foremen and each and every employee has a key role in the program. Safety must be considered a vital part of every job in our company.
Documented employee safety training is critical to MP Nexlevel's program. It ensures that workers are made aware or workplace hazards and that appropriate precautions are taken to avoid an accident and/or injury. To satisfy established training requirements, the following will be considered:
Training is required in the following situations:
- When new employees are hired.
- When employees transfer to a new work area.
- When employees are required to perform a new job function.
- When employee's return-to-work after a long lay off, illness or injury.
- For all employees who perform unusual, seasonal, or extremely hazardous jobs.
- For all employees, when operations or processes change significantly.
- For all Foreman's, managers, and lead employees, to ensure they are familiar with all safety program elements.
- Whenever mandated by outside regulatory agencies such as OSHA.
All training sessions must be documented on a training log, indicating who was trained, date trained, who completed the training, and what was covered in the session.
