Wi-Fi and Cellular Coverage Testing

RF STUDY | WALK & DRIVE TESTS

When installing a cellular enhancement solution or Wi-Fi solution, making sure you understand the RF environment before putting a design together is paramount.  An RF Study is a snapshot of how the RF environment of the venue or space looks with regards to the surrounding macro network of all the carrier frequencies of interest.  This creates a sort-of ‘weather map’ to see what the current RF is doing.  The whole goal of a cellular enhancement solution is to push out the macro RF signal in a designated space and untilize the new DAS signal to it’s fullest potential.  This, in turn, relieves the surrounding macro nodes of data and voice traffic and puts it onto the new system.  We can do pre-design tests for:

  • In-building cellular enhancement | Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
    • Repeater Solutions
    • BTS Solutions
    • C-RAN Architecture
    • D-RAN Architecture
  • 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/u Wi-Fi

All of our testing will be carrier-grade testing with carrier-grade software tools to allow them to see how their signal is proliferating through the building/space.  This gives them the data they need to make an informed decision on providing signal to the area(s) of interest.
